Overview

In the Governance Registry, the resources can be versioned along with its properties and associated community features. By default resources (non-collections) are auto versioned so it create a version (a checkpoint) for each update you do to that resource. You can later view a preview or restore to a previous version easily.

User Interface for Versioning

In the Registry Browser You can view versions of each resource, preview or restore a perticular version. Figure1: The resources information panel (Where the create checkpoint and view versions links are shown).

Create Checkpoint

You can create a checkpoint of the currently viewing resource by clicking the 'Create Checkpoint' link. It will acknowledge you when it is finished creating the checkpont. Figure2: Acknowlegment after creating the checkpoint

View Versions

You can view the versions of the current resources by clicking the 'View Version' link.

Preview a Version

You can preview a version by clicking the 'Details' link for the corrosponding version in the 'View Versions' page. (Shown in Figure2).

Restore a Version

You can preview a version by clicking the 'Restore' link for the corrosponding version in the 'View Versions' page. (Shown in Figure2).

Configuring Versioning

You can configure how the versioning should behave in your governance registry. These configurations are in the registry.xml and covered in the Registry Configuration Section.
